- 1982: the observatory becomes a public museum (part of Powerhouse Museum)
- 2005: 3m/15s/Starlab Fiber arc (optical) with GOTO umbrella
- 2011: beanbags replaced by ergonomical chairs
- 2013: Starlab replaced by Digitarium
- 2014: new dome 4m
- 2020: closed (Covid)
