WPD means: Worldwide Planetariums Database.

Why

The planetarium community disseminates scientific content.
SCIENCE IS NOT a "truth" or an "alternative" option to a faith, it is the only tool describing reality.

The goal of this database is to find, locate and show all the equipment of each planetarium in the world, in order to facilitate exchanges between all planetariums and to make known to each one, the whole community of planetarians.
In order to keep a trace of their history, historical pages (tagged "old" or "closed") are also created for each planetarium.
In order not to forget anyone, this database also includes many cultural entertainment theaters equipped with all kinds of domes (or sphere). Via the menus, various tools allow all kinds of sorting to facilitate your research.

This database represents approximately 30,000 hours of work since 2002 and constantly updating by Daniel AUDEON.
For this constant work for the community, Daniel AUDEON received an IPS Fellow Award in 2018.

Do not hesitate to send us your suggestions or updates (it's free), WPD is neither a company nor an association.
It is a tool at the service of the Planetariums community.
